The team fundraised with a game called Penny War, donated clothes for the Clothes for a Cause drive, and donated prizes for the Surprize Ball game which is played at Suburban’s sponsored booth at Relay for Life. Team members also volunteered time to man the booth and participate in the 24 hour relay.
SouthWest Water takes great pride in giving back to the communities we serve. Suburban Water Systems launched the Relay For Life campaign in March donating directly to the American Cancer Society.
“Thank you to all of our SWWWC employees who lead, organized, gave generously of their time, talents and financial support in this wonderful event. Our team brilliantly showed commitment to our core value of Community Citizenship,” said Suburban’s General Manager Craig Gott. “My family and I had a great time, and we are looking forward to next year’s event.”
Our California team raised over $900 on the Surprise Ball game. They also collected an additional $150 for a raffle of a Marvel Rising poster signed and personalized for Relay for Life by the voice cast of “Heart of Iron,” which was generously donated by Quality Assurance Reporting Manager Ken Reich. Together with the Penny War donations and online donations, we raised over $4,500 this year for the American Cancer Society!
