Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) is a globally-recognized, independent rating service that measures the long-term sustainability of infrastructure companies through an assessment of the company’s environmental, social and governance principles. GRESB Infrastructure provides systematic assessment, objective scoring, and peer benchmarking for ESG performance of infrastructure companies and funds.
On September 4, 2019, SouthWest Water and its subsidiaries received high marks for its environmental, social, governance efforts. Specifically, SouthWest Water:
- Earned a 5-star rating in all four years the GRESB Infrastructure survey has been administered (2016-2019).
- Achieved a score of 76 compared to a GRESB Average of 45 and a Peer Average of 71.
- Ranked in the top 10% (8 out of 88) among survey participants from the Americas Region.
- Ranked in the top 8% (30 out of 393) among All Infrastructure Assets.
