SouthWest Water Company’s Texas management, on behalf of the entire company, visited a local Houston organization, Comp-U-Dopt, to donate 50 refurbished laptops to be used by underprivileged youth. The source of the laptops were those originally used by field operators.
Texas Utilities President Chuck Profilet and Director of Communications and Customer Care Marti Cortez, with assistance from IT Technical Analyst Bratchard Guy, spent time taking the laptops to the organization and got to hear more about the mission of Comp-U-Dopt.
“We are very happy to have this opportunity to provide back to our local youth and help them grow and discover the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics),” said Profilet, “every child should be able to explore the various career fields of their interest.”
