Vice President of Corporate Development
Chris joined SouthWest Water Company in 2013 and is currently the Vice President of Corporate Development. He is responsible for leading the company’s strategic growth initiatives, including water and wastewater utility acquisitions (private or municipal), as well as partnerships with housing developers seeking a reliable water/wastewater utility provider.
Prior to his current role, Chris was Vice President of Finance, where he led the finance and treasury activities of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, debt issuances and M&A strategy. He also led the financial and transactional processes for the company’s acquisitions.
Chris’s 20+ year career has focused on helping businesses grow. He started his career as a civil engineer, where he earned his Professional Engineering license in California. He then expanded his experience into strategy consulting at a boutique strategy firm, where he worked on multinational client engagements involving financial analysis, competitive benchmarking and strategic growth. He later joined Amphenol Corporation, a global manufacturer of electronic components, where he held various business development and product development roles before managing a $35M product division.
Chris earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his master’s degree in civil engineering from Northwestern University. He later earned his MBA from Columbia University.
