As Chairman, Robert J. Carroll leads the SouthWest Water board of directors in their efforts to supply strategic direction and input to the company’s management.
Additionally, Mr. Carroll has served as Chairman of Summit Utilities, Inc. since 2015.
Mr. Carroll has extensive leadership experience as chairman and chief executive officer of both publicly traded and privately owned companies. Based in Dallas, he is currently the Principal in Roscommon Limited, an investment and consulting practice providing specialized support in operations management, turnarounds, acquisitions, and divestitures. Previously, he was chairman at NovusEdge, a company specializing in network-based security solutions and building energy management systems.
He also served as chairman at Durasol Systems, the largest manufacturer of commercial and residential awnings in the U.S. As chairman, president and chief executive officer of AMX Corporation, he took the publicly traded company from the verge of bankruptcy to a $315 million cash sale of the business to private owners in less than four years. His prior experience includes chairman and chief executive officer roles at BEI Holding Corporation, AE Research Corporation and Intratec Systems. He has also held management positions with Philips N.V. and Xerox Corporation.
Mr. Carroll attended University of Dallas Graduate School of Management and American University in Washington, D.C.
