As you know, all of the water delivered to Callawassie, Spring, and Harbor Islands comes from Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority. They announced that they are shutting down part of their plant on Tuesday and Wednesday this week while doing some construction. As a result, you are asked to limit irrigation system usage during these days.
This request is to accommodate planned construction activity at the BJWSA’s Purrysburg Treatment Plant. BJWSA will be able to produce water from its Chelsea Treatment Plant and drinking water wells, but limiting irrigation is a precautionary measure to ensure water pressure.
