Hornsby Bend Utility Company recently partnered with Creative Action, a nonprofit, arts-based, youth development organization, to host its “Pancake Palooza” family fundraiser breakfast to launch its annual Youth Arts Fest and raise funds for its after-school programs. The event included hundreds of students––many from the Hornsby Bend area––for the one-day festival featuring performances, films, painting and other visual arts. Gary Rose, director of operations at SouthWest Water Company, and other Hornsby Bend Utility team members greeted students and their families. They also distributed “swag bags” of items, including coloring books for the children.
