On August 1, 2023, Texas Water Utilities and Make-A-Wish Gulf Coast and Louisiana held a wish reveal celebration, granting 14-year-old Issah’s wish for a game room makeover.
A Richmond local battling leukemia, Issah wished for a place of his own to play with his friends and livestream his Fortnight adventures. The gamer-themed celebration was hosted at Texas Water Utilities’ headquarters in Sugar Land. Issah enjoyed a personalized cookie cake, custom balloons spelling his name and had 25 members of the Texas Water Utilities team cheering him on.
Melissa Rich, Vice President of Operations for the Southeast Region at Texas Water Utilities, presented Issah with a basket of his favorite things, including a brand new Oculus and gaming PC. Rich shared that she’s proud to work for an organization that partners with Make-A-Wish to make dreams come true for kids fighting critical illness across the state.
