On June 2, 2022, Texas Water Utilities and Make-A-Wish North Texas surprised an 18-year-old Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor with a Hawaiian-themed party complete with a visit from Kona Ice to celebrate her upcoming trip to Hawaii. Terry Benton, vice president of operations, presented Brittany with a basket of her favorite things, including art supplies and M&Ms.
Texas Water Utilities sponsored a trip for Brittany, her parents and her brother to travel to Hawaii on June 9. Brittany wished to go to Hawaii because her dad was stationed in Honolulu with the U.S. Navy and her parents were married on the island. She always wanted to see the place where her parents spent their first year of marriage and where her dad served in the Navy. Brittany and her family had an amazing time in Hawaii and expressed gratitude to Texas Water Utilities and Make-A-Wish North Texas for their partnership in making Brittany’s wish come true!
