Change is here. Our Texas business unit is becoming Texas Water Utilities.
As SouthWest Water Company celebrates 25 years of doing business in Texas, we are excited to announce our name change to Texas Water Utilties. We’re still the same company with the same “can do” attitude, but we will just be operating with a different name. As a company with deep Texas roots, it is about high time we have a name that embraces our Texas spirit as we continue to build a better water utility together.
As this change comes into play, here’s some information on what to expect:
Who is making the change?
SouthWest Water Company will begin to operate its’ Texas business unit as Texas Water Utilities. This includes the following units:
- Hornsby Bend Utility Company
- Midway Water Utilities, Inc.
- Monarch Utilities I L.P.
- Windermere Utility Company, Inc.
- Mid-Tex Utilities
How is this changing?
As Texas Water Utilities, we will continue to oversee operations of Midway Water Utilities, Inc.; Monarch Utilities I L.P.; Hornsby Bend Utility Company; Windermere Utility Company; and Mid-Tex Utilities. All official documents you will receive from us will have the Texas Water Utilities logos.
When will it happen?
Expect to see these changes everywhere starting November 30.
What will change?
All points of contact or communication will feature the new name and logo. This change will be reflected on bills, online portal, Customer Care phone line and forms, social media, trucks, door hangers, and team member’s uniforms. See below for the change you’ll see:
How will we refer to ourselves?
Any communications will be coming from Texas Water Utilities. This is how we will operate in Texas, meaning you won’t see as much mention of our old subsidiary names or SouthWest Water Company.
However, on your bills and notices, you may still see the old name within the logos. Use this as a guide to know which tariff your rates fall under.
Here’s a closer look:
Why is this changing?
President of Texas Water Utilities, Jeffrey L. McIntyre, says it best: “Our deep Texas roots are a central part of how we do business, and it was important to have our Lone Star heritage reflected in the name of our operations. I am thrilled for the direction Texas Water Utilities will take us as we build a better water utility together. Around here, we say, ‘Water empowered. For Texans, by Texans.’”
What’s staying the same?
- Bill payment
- Outage alerting
- Customer portal website
- Customer Care phone number & contact information
- Field service
This change does not affect rates.
